July 5, 2014

When I began watercolor painting, it was natural to start on simple shapes.  I was learning the basics like how to work wet on wet, wet on dry, shading, lighting.  At the start, apples, grapes, pears and rounded things were my friends.

Eventually, I realized I had a little collection of fruit paintings.  One day it occured to me I could select the best of them and name them with the fruits referred to in Galations 5:22 - 23.  So, I gave each of my favorite fruits a name from Galations, using my favorite font, then matted the print onto a neutral colored card stock.  It seemed to me the paintings became important that way; and pretty and alive.

If you wish, you could order these paintings individually from the cart.  The pear and the cherries are the only stand-alone fruit paintings I'm offering at this time.  (Strawberries are coming soon, though!)
